Watch case sizes

My first post!

This may sound a little basic, but say for arguments sake I have sat here a nice 35mm diameter dial with a 7750 movement and I need case to put it all in...  the question is what size case do I look for since on the dreaded eBay it seems that case sizes are given as the size of the actual case and not the movement although mention is usually made of what movement the case will take.

Is there any such thing as a list of "standard" dialand\or case sizes?

Haven't gone looking for a case to fit a movement. You might try this:

Unfortunately there isn‘t! Most watches have a specific movement holder to fit the movement into the case.
