Hello all,

Thought I'd share my first bezel repaint for a Vostok Komandirskie watch.

Maybe not 100% original shade for the colours but I'm happy with the outcome. Eager to do more work like this.

Advices and constructive criticism areĀ very welcomed. I used Humbrol enamel paint and a leftover oiler to do the job šŸ™‚ Photos attached.

Did the paint help you by flowing along the grooves?

Hello, yes. If you used a good enough dab of paint it would flow but more in the triangle slots and round slots. The smaller grooves along the side of the bezel were a bit of a pain because you need to help it a bit go in there. I had some paint spills around the edges but waited for it to dry and took them off with a wide piece of peg wood.

Warming the bezel a bit may have helped with that. Looks good though.

Original probably painted without worrying about overpaintingĀ and then the bezelĀ polished back.
