Working with 9ct gold

Not strictly watches, I'd like to fix this 9ct gold bracelet.

Each link is about 7mm diameter and is just folded over the next one.

I'm thinking of just removing the broken link and reattaching to the next one.

Any advice?  Feel free to move this post and/or point me at a more appropriate forum.

A pair of watchmakers smooth jaw pliers will do the trick, just open the end up and remove and join.

So no heat required?

As you are just going to remove the broken link no heat will be needed. It would be different if you needed to do gold soldering. I suggested smooth jaw pliers as you don't want to mark the gold.
