probably about 30 years old, hasn't run for a while, new battery but sec. hand just keeps back and forth approx. every second.

Is there some way to 'kick start' these things? Can't find any AC point.

A spot of oil on each of the visible pivots on the main bridge, then 'spin it up' using a demag unit usually gets the old quartz units ticking again.....

Is it THIS Ronda movement?

I picked up this 'Viatronic' earlier in the year, for a very few £'s that has the Ronda 1377  movement in it....Shame about the crack in the crystal, cant find a replacement any where...?

I once had this problem on a movement (I can't remember which), and all I did was take the battery out for a few minutes, then refitted it and that sorted the difficulty.
