Seiko H449-5100

Hi , can anyone tell me if  the LCD display from a Seiko  H449-5120  will fit into a H449-5100?

Hi Ted and welcome to the forum.

 

Assuming the LCD display is part of the movement then it should fit. I'm not much into these types of watches but normally the H449 part is the movement "id" inside the case and the rest is the type of case. Therefore, both watches use the same movement (cases made for it). As I said, I'm not into LCD watches and have no experience with them so, once more, the above applies, IF AND ONLY IF the display is an integral part of the movement. It will help if you post pictures of both.

 

Also, any other member familiar with this topic may want to correct my reasoning above and/or indicate any other issue I might not be aware of: it will be appreciated.

Hi Bob, thanks for the info I will post some pictures tomorrow. The watch I have is H449-5100 dual display, the LCD is broken. I have seen a H449-5120 with a working LCD for spares on eBay but not sure if it will fit.
