I am attempting to build a watch with a full words day disk that extends over the date wheel. It also extends over the dial post holes on the movement. This case comes with a movement extention for that. The dial did not come with a larger dial spacer to acomodate for this. Does the movement extention act as the spacer as well or do I need to come up with something to space the dial? Thanks

Is what you call a 'movement extension', the movement holder/retaining ring that the case back presses against to hold the movement still?

Also, you said 'This case comes with a movement extension ring for that'. What is 'that'? I don't understand.

As I can see it, if you're going to add height on top of the dial side with the calendar work then you'll need to have a spacer to not allow the dial to touch this extra height, but also have an hour wheel that is the correct height to accommodate for the extra height. You could use the dial spacer ring that comes with the movement and add height to that by gluing a gasket to it of the same diameter, It doesn't even need to be the whole diameter of the spacer ring. I've used the insert for armoured glass as a packer/spacer for stuff like this, but I've got a big bag to choose from.

Also, the crystal needs to be able to accommodate the extra height of the hour wheel without the hands scuffing
