The pinion side pivot looks light. How well can you inspect it ? Does the end seem flat ? How is its cap jewel looking ? You sure the pinion and the wheel of the escapewheel can turn independently of each other ? -

But yer exactly what I mean, ebay has this at 279 dollaridoos, the factory site has this at 5 670.00 ₽, which the exchange rate shows now as 53 squids (so gone up since I bought it a few years back for £30ish). So .... 400% markup is a ruddy good business model. -

That sounds like the wheel is loose. You might need to source for a new escape wheel. -
I'm late home tonight but will see what I've got. I know I've got a few that have the front end trashed so are only good for parts.
