Seiko 6923A Dial Removal

Hello Everyone.

 

Can you tell me how to separate the dial face from the movement?  I alreadt removed the hands.

 

There is a blue plastic movement holder between the faceplate and the movement.

 

I see two eccentric screws on the movement side but they were already turned away from the plastic movement holder.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi mlfloyd1,

 

I believe the dial is inserted in the plastic ring surrounding the movement. There may be a slight opening for a screwdriver tip to fit in at opposite sides of the ring where the dial feet are imprisoned. You will need to insert a proper size screwdriver in the openings and carefully, a little bit at a time in each opening, wiggle the screwdriver tip to lift the dial. Careful not to break the dial feet!
