Hello, currently I have two problems.
First, with old quartz omega. I managed to open the case to replace the battery but this movement looks unfamiliar with me. When I snap its case off, the glass also come off. Therefore I can't put face on the desk directly to do my job. I'm not sure if it's same model as mine, but the looks is just like this.

http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?221991-How-to-remove-dial-movement-on-old-quartz-Omega-De-Ville

Do I need to remove hands to replace the battery?  Or movement holder kind of things will help?

Second, with casio, G-SHOCK(sorry I forgot to note the model)

It's not that it's my first time to change batteries with G-SHOCK and I think I did it well.

But, when I close the case, the power go off automatically. Surely there's something wrong with it but I can't figure it out. When I hold the case loosely it's working, but when I put more stress into it, power's off again. I happened to close the case upside down, it's working well. But I'd like to know what's happening with it and fix it. Anyone help me out please. Thank you for reading.

I never seen an omega that you have to remove the hands to replace the battery on. The watch at TZ-UK has parts of the stem in the crown tube? If you look close? That is probably why he can't remove the case back? Why the crystal comes of i have no idea? Do you have any reference number on the case back?

In the Casio question, did you reset the movement by shorting the + with the AC (or equivalent)? Some quartz movements need to be reset...hopefully that Casio too, otherwise you are up a tree without a ladder...Casio parts and movements are next to impossible to source new...or used for that matter.

Sorry about this late respond and thank you for replying!

As it turned out I was just a dumb... Because the movement came up like this,  I was assuming I can't put this onto glass without case back, otherwise the hands and the dials touch the glass directly. I should've watch it more carefully.

By the way, The reference number is 591.014, if I got it correctly.

Yes, I did short + side and AC. But now things seems go worse. It doesn't work if I try to reset.

First I was going to do some pretty easy fix with this, but actually the problem seems beyond my capacity, I think I'll give up..

Thanks again for your helps!

BlueApple, sorry for the simile (or whatever it is called), but I think you are mixing apples and oranges! My answer was for the Casio G-Shock. I have no idea how to start on your Omega!

In any case, I don't think you should give up...but you know what is involved so I let the decision to you. We are here to help, just for you to know.

Cheers,

Bob
