I am looking at a jeweling set and also a K&D 18R Invertro staking jeweling set. Both are about the same price. Just wondering what different ones recommend and why. Leaning toward the K&D set. Thanks for the comments.

If the K&D is in good shape and complete (includes a micrometer), for most tasks where you need either a staking tool or a jeweling tool you will not need anything else. It is nice to have both sets for convenience I guess...or because, in my case, I am a tool addict! I believe Bergeon stakes and other parts are compatible but I haven't added or tried any on mine so maybe someone here that have may clarify this point.

The staking set would be my first choice provided everything is in good condition. It is far more universal than a jeweling set which is only dedicated to the fitting of watch jewels. Ideally you require both.
