How do you remove the stem from a Garrard automatic.

Welcome to the forum.

First thought would be to press with a screwdriver in the slot here.

You use a screwdriver in the slot to prevent pushing too far.

Ahh I didn’t see that. I was looking for a dimple or a release screw connected to the keyless works. Thanks for that. I’ll try it after work.

  I have a WW lathe, a taig lathe, and a sherline mill. I just finished building my rotary table indexer. If you have some programming/electrical knowledge, they can be built very cheap. I have roughly $150 into my build.

  Okay anything else I can use? Vinegar? I used isopropylalkohol but without luck even though it was good on the watch case for removing melted gasket. I dont have naptha.

  Hi Guys. None of mine are fit for public consumption and I don’t want putting in jail at my age. If I find a passable one I will slide it under the door. So watch this space. At least you have still got hair, Mark black or grey most of mine went AWOL Late thirties now the preverbial chrome dome.
