Hi all

I have been on a bit of a buying spree, building up a stock of practice pocket watches.

Most I have been able to find out info on using the usual tools but one I have drawn a bit of a blank on, so was wondering if anyone here knows anything about the maker and history etc.

It looks like a Military watch or in the Military stile, with black dial with Federal printed, the only other marks are Made in Germany, that I assume means its pre 1945.

Lume is Radio Active but almost dead as far as its ability to glow is concerned.

The movement is quite a budget design, no jewls and the balance has a screw adjuster for end shake adjustment.

My uneducated guess would be that it was made during the second world war and because of the cost cutting design maybe the later half.

Anyone got any thoughts on this

Google seemed to suggest Federal was an American brand, but given the Made in Germany that cant be correct in this case.

Thanks for any help with this

Paul

As with most movements is there's nothing under the balance then your best chance is
either markings on the dial side or working it out from Bestfit using the keyless works.
