Hi.

Has anyone had any experience on replacing crown gaskets on a Hamilton H776650 Air Race.

With the winding stem, movement taken out there are 2 complication crowns what move the internal bezels around .

The barrels that house the stems each have a screw at the end which secures the cog which revoles the internal bezel.

Trouble is that the screw just seems to turn around and doesn't release anything.

I can't find anything online anywhere about this subject.

could be a two-piece stem, surely someone on here has dealt with this issue, I read where all 3 crowns are screw-down, do you have the crowns screwed down when turning the inside screws, who knows maybe they have to be unscrewed and held with one hand so the crown 'square' is in the correct engaged position.....worth a try

Hi Cyclops.

I've tried doing both ,crown tightened-untightened both result in a free spinning cog.

"maybe they have to be unscrewed and held with one hand so the crown 'square' is in the correct engaged position"

The movement is back in the watch at the moment but I'm sure i tried this as well. Its baffling me to be honest that I can't find any info online .

Surely the cog isn't grasped as damage would occur?
