Boley Tailstock

I bought a good Boley standard WW 8mm lathe some time ago but the tailstock was missing but I managed without. One has just come up for sale on Evil Bay and it is a Boley with an interesting price but looking at the pictures, it has two clamping fixtures underneath....does anyone know what the second one is for?

The Pultra is like that as well but only one clamps tailstock to bed , presumed the other was just a guide.
