Bracelet link disassembly

I have a nice Oris diver which unfortunately has a broken bracelet. It looks like one of the link pieces has broken off where there is no removable pin exposed so now there are 2 "male" pieces exposed. This makes it so I cannot attach a new link piece to fix the bracelet. Is it possible to take apart one of these link pieces to remove only the "male" piece and insert my new link?

Yes they can be removed but you need a special tool.

how is it they are fixed? Are they friction fit onto one another?

Yes, they use knurled pins.
