Roamer Hand/Cannon Pinion Problems

Hi all, Im relatively new to this stuff and have run in to a problem. I got a nice Roamer off ebay which has the MST 410 movement dating to around 1950. Actually there are two problems but they are most likely related. Firstly the cannon pinion is way to loose and doesn't click into place at all. Secondly, the minute hand doesn't appear to fit on it. On closer inpection the hole in the minute hand is pretty chewed up. The minute hand seemed to be in place on the eBay listing, but by the time it got to me it was floating around the case. It almost seems like it isn't the right cannon pinion. Any help welcome! Thanks.
