I have a Maurice LaCroix I am going to work on here and the biggest issue I have right now is that a few of my blued screws have rusted. No other rust anywhere else, and this ones thread is particularly bad.

Some of them have just got rust in the screw head slot.

Ideas?

Maybe this…

A dip in evaporust for a few minutes, followed by cleaning and a gentle polish?

Rebluewing if needed.

If all reasonable efforts to fix something fail, you can always replace it.

My guess is that fixing stuff and finding ways to do that is what draws most people here to watchrepair / watchmaking (including me).
