I came across a post on a forum referencing the removal of a 315 stem in order to remove movement from case. The user noted that they had to remove the crown (split the two part stem).

Looking at other photos of cal 315, it seems that there is a pin against a flat spring that could be depressed to release the stem (point 1) or loosening of screw/cover plate (point 2) thus making the stem split unnecessary.

any thoughts on this from those who may have serviced this movement?  Thanks
