Seiko confusion

Hi all, I have for the past year been trying to restore a vintage seiko with a 6309 movement but this watch has proved a challenge.

as you can see on the attached images I have 2 movements labelled as 6309 but the main plate is a different size around the space the crown is inserted, typically the movement that runs perfectly is the one with more material around the space and won’t fit in to the case I have which has the crown at the 3:00 position

i have also attached an image of the dial as this could be meant for a different movement (also how nice are seiko dials)

any help would be much appreciated
