I don't know the correct terminology but the enamel inlay on my pocket watch is loose.  It only just catches, doesn't seem to be much to attach to. How do I fix it?

The stem was held in not only by the screw to the set lever but by screws either side of the pendant.  Haven't come across this before.

Did the inlay sit on a ledge of the bezel and the edge rolled over to hold it in place ? I dont think the screws on the pendant were to hold the stem, this is were the bow would be fitted Rich.

Pretty sure the edge wasn't rolled over but not sure.  The screws definitely held the stem in place.

Hi NEW, is this a false back shell with the enamel work on the metal, because if so I reckon Richard is close and the edge has worn away with use. I am working on a gold hunter where the stem is held in with a screw and has to be removed for the movement to be released.

Mine fits into the tube at the back and locates in a groove in the stem , there is only the one screw.  If the back has no edge is there a recess like the bezel if so some UV QUICK DRYING cement would work the same as some crystals, sternkruze do the UV for crystals but there are others in the market place these days. Google UV cement.

Just had a look at the bow in close up, a bit unusual fitting for a bow they are normally just fitted using bow pliers which close the bow onto the tube. And like the one I have a single screw into the locating groove. Quite a complex arrangement.

Yes, I've never seen one like it either . The reason I wanted to share was not just for help but I thought it was interesting.
