I'm having a bit of an issue with a Helvetia 82c movement. I have stripped cleaned, oiled including pegging jewel holes. In DU position I am getting an amplitude of around 300, DD I get about 290 with around 10+/-. However in certain positions when the watch is vertical i.e CD the amplitude drops to 180 and looses 60 seconds a day. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Pivots look straight enough. I cleaned the bs pivots using pith and twisting.

before you started work on this watch what was its condition, in other words was this a running watch or was it not running did you change the mainspring?

It really be nice to have pictures but we like guessing. so I quoted a part about how straight they look and looking straight enough sounds substandard versus they look perfect. Then in addition to the pivots looking perfect the jewels they go into have to be perfect.

do you have a timing machine? It be nice to have pictures of that than?
