I did use the search function and didn't see anything that really touches on my question.

I have a watch where the press-in waterproof case tube came out and needs to be replaced. Replacement press-in case tubes are on order.

I have only found one video online showing the removal of the press-in case tube using the Horotec tool (03.657), nothing on the installation.

Other than the Horotec tool, are there other methods of installing press in case tubes? Are there other tools used to press-in case tubes.

Any suggested gotchas with any of the other suggested methods (if any) would be appreciated.

Thanks, Court

Shove it in! If it’s very firm then try a vice with suitable protection. Occasionally I use a crown on the end of the tube to help. Also, a soft hammer such as a timber mallet can work well, but avoid distorting the end of the pendant tube.
