Can anyone tell me please, how do I know what size sub dial hands fit the movement. Cousins website and catalogue tell you what size hour and minute hands and most of the time second hands but never what size the sub dial hands are.

Can you help please?

Thanks

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the forum. What you ask is part of the movement specs. Something that may be listed like: 120/70/20/20

The last 20 is the sub dial hand... or simply 120/70/20 meaning all other hands are .20 depending on the supplier and his way of cutting corners on specs.

Hope it helps,

Bob

Not necessarily. It is given in the movement specs. Some are and some aren't. Make sure you research your movement first before ordering.

If the info isn't on the website or the catalogue, for example, it does not state the hand sizes at all for a hattori VD53 movement. Ive checked the download document also and again, no mention of hand sizes. This is just an example, I don't need this info but have in the past. Where would I research the movement of the info I need is not here?

Hi Paul, this is what I did:

-->From Borel:

"VD53: Movement, Quartz, 12 3/4 L, 4.57mm Thick, Hand Size 65/110/20/20, 0J, Multiple Hands, Chronograph, Date at 4"

Therefore, the small hands sizes are .20.

Cheers,

Bob
