  1. Cheers mates.... Im so GLAD....lallalala... Yesterday I got this beauty in the mail box.... Seiko 6138-0030 also kalled "Kakume" which means square eyes in Japanese. Prodused in march 1974....all original....Its not JDM, but thats is ok, I can live with this ..
  2. SO... After 6 months of slowly getting to know quality mechanical watches, working on various Seiko autos, and an ETA I find myself hankering after a chronograph to wear and hopefully at some point service... Being an Omega fan I've hankered after a Seamaster Jedi to go with my Memomatic, but they're just so pricey! Well as you can see I've gone for a Big Blue Kakume. Which I have to say I love! and it is keeping just as good time as my Omega. (-3 to - 8 secs a day) . Perhaps this group will advise on something I've been researching?... I understand that possibly the chrono function on the 6138 caliber is best left running due to the type of clutch it has and possible wear... If this is correct then I'm even happier because I do like to see a working sweep when I glance down. If it's bad information, please do tell me as I would't want to cause my latest friend any undue harm. Many thanks. Tim
