I wonder if anyone can help me? I have two Silver Moon watches. They are from America and have lovely unusual "Native American" straps. I have been advised that neither watch work any longer and can't be repaired. I wondered if it would be possible to buy new "watch heads" (if that is what they are called) so that the lovely straps can be attached to them? Both straps seem to have spring bar pins. Firstly is this a possibility? And secondly, where would I get the heads from? The thing is the head would need to fit the strap. Is it a case of measuring the spring pin? And even then is there anywhere specifically that I should look for watch heads? I've had a look on eBay, but none of the heads on there tell you the size of the strap required. I wondered if there was a better place to look.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Watch straps come in a range of standard sizes measured in millimetres. If you measure the width of the strap where it joins the watch that’s the key.
If all you want is to be able to use the straps on a working watch you could simply buy an inexpensive new watch. And swap the straps. Most watch seller would do the swap on the back of selling two watches.
I you post pictures of the back and front of your watch heads someone may be able to advise if they are worth fixing.
