I seem to have a bit of a thing for Heuer jacky Ickx chronos. I got this one recently in need of a service and a stem. Well ,it turns out the female parts for split stem EB8420s simply do not exist. The problme with the existing one being the small locating pin on the end has snapped off, allowing the stem to cock at an angle, making it impossible to pull out, which in turn had led to the sprung portion snapping. Long story short, I ended up turning a new one. I started with a female split stem for an ETA movement and turned it down to just a stub. Then turned up the main stem portion, hardened that and then silver soldered the split section in (which also served as a temper). It took a couple of goes but the end result worked a treat.
