Hi, so I've gotten a watch that I've been working on running, but it's running 3 minutes fast according to my timing machine.

 

I'm pretty sure this is to do with the hairspring, as it doesn't look like how it should be.

 

And I think the first problem with it is that the stud is in the wrong position.

 

I've removed the hairspring from the balance and taken a photo.

 

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to move the hairspring from the stud. As I don't see a screw, it appears to be just a brass pin in the stud, so I'm not exactly sure if it should be pulled out or screwed out. And until I'm sure I'm leaving it alone.

 

I've taken a photo of the watch, and as you can see it's not center to how it should be.

 

I've also done a drawing to show what I think should help adjust this, incase the photo is of too low quality.

Thanks, managed to do it, found it a bit more easier to push it out rather than pull with a oiler on the other side.

 

Certainly looks a bit more better now, before it was way out from the center.
