Hello, first-time caller, decided to try and improve a battered MK two-tone watch.... there is a couple of deep scratches in the glass, but tricky to buff in situ, as the bevel is sligthly raised - does the fluted bevel pop off, or should I take the glass out?

It may be knackered anyway - the chronograph works, but the time doesn't... was hoping it was a dead battery, then saw that the chrono works...

Welcome to the forum.

Bezel may pop off but if it's a flat crystal then for the price of a new one it's not worth the effort.

Have you replaced the battery?

Depending on the movement it may need resetting.

Hi Andy, I'm just awaiting my back removal tool!

Crystal is domed, centre of crystal is higher than bevel, outer edge of crystal is lower.  Might try to pop the bezel off for a crystal polish

What's the model as some of these when domed can be funny.
