Bezel that shouldn't rotate

I have a watch where the bezel is loose - It is not designed to rotate but it does!   How can I stop this (without glue!)

It is a watch where the movement has to come out the front of the case.  The bezel is a pretty thin piece of metal and clicks nicely into place but then easily rotates.

I have seen other cases where there is a dimple in the bezel where the stem leaves the case and I see that that design prevents the bezel from rotating.  On this watch the stem leaves through a hole in the the lower part of the case and the is no dimple in the bezel.

I assume the same thing happens with snap on case backs.  How can I make this tighter?

Photos will definitely help.  Maybe the bezel should have a gasket .

Here are some photos - I don’t think a gasket can fit there…

I can’t recall if it spun when I first got it but I expect years of dirt was holding it in place

Difficult to tell from these photos but to me it doesn't look like it's full seated.

Yes so this is a watch that I have disassembled cleaned and serviced.  All back together and running very nicely but the bezel doesn't sit firm in place.

I read somewhere about someone using a burnishing tool to create a lip to hold a snap on case back on that was rotating - was wondering if this is what I need to do here?  And if so some hint on how this is done - what angle, where to push....

It is difficult to tell, how did you reattach the bezel?

The bezel just snaps back into place (much like a snap on casebook) - It doesn't take much pressure to just push it on with your fingers and it makes a satisfying click as it goes it.  I tried giving it a tighter squeeze with a crystal press but it doesn't press on any further

So the bezel is fully seated. Either it needs a gasket or is worn. What is the movement and what does it say on the dial?

The watch is a Roamer - says nothing more than Roamer 17 Jewels and Swiss on the dial. The movement is an MST 402

 

I think I have remedied the problem. I ran the back of my tweezers around the inside of the ring on the case the bezel clicks onto gently pushing outwards. It has made enough of a difference

Can you post a photo from the side where the notch is.

Have you got any photos before to confirm that gap was their.

I have the watch back together now and it is much better - looks like the ring the bezel clicked over was just worn ( the watch is maybe 70 years old!)
