My first Jacot tool

Hello, everyone! I got my first Jacot tool. It seems to be in the most part complete. The only things that are broken are the lanterns, with just some of the holes stil good, but the rest seems to be good! The Brand is Stainer. I got it for $350. Do you think that’s a good price for the tool. What are your thoughts in general! I

NIce! I don't know what the current market is for these as I bought my brass and SS one a couple of years back and am definitely not an expert, but seems a little steep if the lanterns are damaged. Is it Stainer or Steiner? As long as the lanterns with the groves are good, you can burnish most pivots. the ones with the holes are primarily for polishing tips of pivots, which mostly are for pivots that contact a cap jewel. But again not the expert by any means. Get yourself a small bench vice to hold it and a bow.

Yours is a nice set too! I actually bought two. I ordered one from the Czech Republic about a month ago, but I haven’t got it yet. It seems like there is a problem with the postage because I was supposed to get it January 14th. Then I saw this one that somebody else was selling on eBay and I went ahead and bought it because I needed it. Once I get the other one I will see if I will sell it since two are probably not necessary. I may have misspelled the name. I think is Steiner. I guess the other one I am waiting for is very similar to yours.
