Got this cheap off ebay as a spares/repair. Can't figure out how to remove the minute disc. It won't just lift up, which is what I expected. Any suggestions before I break something?

I'm talking about the dial side discs. I suspect the minute disc is friction fit like a cannon pinion but it won't budge. Only included the picture of the balance side in case anyone recognises the movement (it's an unmarked cheapie with a pin lever escapement and 1 jewel)

Yes and it's as you say it's friction fitted to the pinion so you need to pull the pinion, you can't just lift the sides of the disc and expect it to pop off.

Did it. It was very stubborn. Movement is a modified BFG 866. Hopefully be able to get it up and running once I have a new stem (it was missing)
