Hi There,

First i would like to apologize for my lack of knowledge, but i am trying to get into watchmaking. and i have a lot of watches to work on, onof them is this one, i took out the stem to remove the movement so i could replace the crystal. Instead of a push it was a screw i had to take out to removed the stem, but the problem is now i cant get it back in, i have tried taken the stem in and out, but the screw won´t get in now. Before had managed to get the screw completely in,with the stem in. But it wouldnt screw in, it seems like there was now thread. the screw looks fine, so does the Stem.
it is also wierd, without the stem the watch is still running, no matter where i put the stem, i can't set the time, i can only wind the watch, when its in.

Is there something obvious i am missing?

Thank you in advance

Yes, a bit of reading about watch repair before / parallel to practical work 🙂

The screw should of been loosened, not removed, the setting lever has fallen off. You need to remove the dial, to get to the keyless works.
