This is my first attempt at assembling a watch, I wanted to assemble one before buying all the tools and getting into repairs.

I am trying to install the hands on a Sellita SW200-1.

I installed the face before checking the movement operation.

I can wind the movement and advance the date with the quick set function.  I can not get the date to advance while using the third position for setting the time.

Can you post a picture of the dial side of the movement without the dial? Sounds like there is a wheel not engaging properly.

Did a quick Google and found a picture, make sure the red circled wheel is engaged and spinning when you are in the time setting position. The wheel next to the date should spin and engage the date wheel and advance it.

Make sure you are turning the stem in the right direction.....  Don't ask me how I came to consider that an option after two days (ok evenings) 'troubleshooting'.  🤫
