  1. What could be a possible explanation for this? 1)This clock, previously working, began to only swing for a few seconds after I started the pendulum. Tried several times. 2) I left it alone for years. 3) then I shipped it across country in a moving van, laying on its back in a cushioned box. 4) I left it in that box for years, on its back. 5)I took it out finally and noticed a small amount of oil had leaked out (that may not be relevant.) I started the pendulum (and days later noticed that it was stored in an almost wound-down state). Without any further intervention, from the first pendulum swing, it has now been working beautifully for 1.5 years! Anyone have any guess as to how to explain this?
