I have an old Poljot Stadium which has a date correction pusher. On mine the pusher itself has disappeared, so needs replacement. The inner tube of the pusher remains in place in place. I can pull the tube out by running a tap or easy-out into the tube but what can I use to press the new pusher in with?

Anyone have a method of pushing pushers into place without the proper press tool?

Hi Simeon,

Your name... Are You bulgarian?

Why You have to push the tube of the pusher out? I guess that You just need another pusher, it will fit in place and just a circlip (as I remember) holds it in place. Of cource, You will need a donor watch to take the pusher out of it, nowhere else such pusher can be found, unless making one by Youself...

Ah, I should have mentioned that I think I have a donor pusher currently installed in an old Slava watch. They look to be the same dimensions (at least by externally measuring with calipers/ eyeball). The donor has a swaged end on the pusher rather than a circlip, so it can't be disassembled in the usual way, so I assumed that I would need to push the whole thing out.

I guess if I can measure the tube, I can see if there's a generic pusher, either a screw or circlip type, available from Cousin's that would fit when disassembled.

I am not Bulgarian unfortunately, nothing as interesting as that. I am an Australian (actually originally British) with a mother who wanted to give me an interesting name. I do have an interest in Soviet watches though.

Hi Simeon,

You carry the name of one of the greatest bulgarian kings, The period he was in charge is callet 'The goden age'

The Poljot pusher has nothing to do with the one in Slava. As I said, You best option is to byu donor watch. I believe every one with the 2627.H movement will have the same pusher.

If the watch is for personal use, there is no need of the pusher at all, as there is a simple way to set the date without it. Just the hole in the case must be soldered...
