Gents..........newby here. I have always been fascinated w/pocket watches, at least since 1946. My Dad had a shiney octagon one when we lived at 100 block of Virginia Ave, Baltimore, Md.. I was able to find one that seems to be as I remember it from that time. That one is OK, but I have a problem concerning a BWRaymond Elgin. I dont have many mens watches, womens closed watches have always had more appeal, have several of them. I do have a #16 BWRaymond Elgin w/gold colored plates. The bow is damaged. I bought another BWRaymond from an Ebay advertiser w/outstanding case condition but some stains in the works. When I tried to put the gold colored works into the replacement bezel, it lacks about .010 of fitting in at the bottom. Examination shows the winding stems are different inside the bezel. The replacement one has what appears to be a spool & a retaining ring that extend downward. The gold colored works hit the spool/ring assembly before it can clear the bottom of the bezel. I was going to change the winding stems, but I cant figure out how to get them out...........????? How is that accomplished....?????? PJH
