  1. hi, I'm new to this site, and am only just starting to collect watches, I'm also a novice at repairing them, but I have just pick up a silver fob watch from an local auction, it is running but is gaining about 5 minuets a day and the advance retard lever is fully retarded as far as it will go. from the hallmark stamp the case it appears to be silver with a London import stamp for 1916 ? the movement appears to have no serial number and the only mark on it is a capital C. I will try and attach photo's of it to this topic. would anybody know where this was made and what would cause it to run fast?
