Glass crystal cracked - is there any hope for this SEIKO watch?

Hello to all. Yes it's me again.

This particular problem I feel I cannot do much about, but I would value your collective opinion(s).

It concerns this Seiko ladies watch. New battery in and it goes great. But the crystal is, as you can see, somerthing of a write-off.

However, I do not know about changing such things - it is way beyond my area of knowledge (which in itself is not so great).

This maybe a short and easy answer, but should I just take it to a watchmaker? Or maybe a whole new case? Or something else?

As I said, replacing the glass is not something I know how to do. But would be a useful skill to learn I think.

Looks like it's glued in. If u can't find a replacement, a decent watchmaker should be able to make and fit one.

Try contacting the guy I use for hard to find crystals. bigvlad86 on eBay.

Cas-Ker (www.jewelerssupplies.com) carries a lot of Seiko crystals. Give them the model#, which looks to be 2620-5580 in this case, and see if they can supply you with one. After that, remove the movement, knock out the old crystal, scrape off any old glue, and install the new one using 2 part epoxy.
