Howdy from Texas

My name is Kris and I'm from Texas. I recently got into vintage watches and couldn't resist the desire to crack them open. I picked up Donald de Carle's Practical Watch Repairing and have only destroyed one watch so far. Working on destroying my send now.

Current collection:

Omega Seamaster Cosmic - cal 601, runs great, everyday wearer

Omega DeVille - broken mainspring I think

Omega Automatic - cal 1010, my first attempt at a teardown, still not working well

Elgin black dial - beautiful and runs great

Elgin mutt - Lorsa in Roberta case, movement currently in pieces

welcome and howdy;   the  de Carles is great   for training and old stuff.  i learned with it, BUT,    it does not cover the new watches.  i may be wrong,   there may be a new edition.   Video training is the big thing now.  good luck and save the broken parts.  vin
