Watch Repair Training

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

On the basis that you don't know what you don't know and I have never believed that I will ever know everything, I have signed up for Marks three courses.

Following on from that I will look to do the BHI training's and qualifications. I see this as being a three year plan, or CPD as the modern term goes.

Looking forward to learning new stuff.

All the best.

Rick

PS. I am looking for a jewelling press kit.

Good for you. I'm sure you will be a great intrest to you. When I started, I took up an apprenticeship back in the early 70's, it was 5 years then another two as an improver. I was very lucky as the workshop was well equipped and everything was at hand. My master was also extremely good in all aspects of horology, which helped me to gain the experience I have today. You will never stop learning.

Hi Rick,

I have just joined and was wondering how the training has been going?

I am a real new guy  and want to learn as much as possible.

and my plan is pretty much identical to yours, I have looked at BHI practical courses but was wondering if it was worth doing the courses here before hand.

Thanks :)
