Identify this Timex movement?

Recommended Posts

It's the size and shape of a m23, but it's something else. The balance is in the wrong place, and much more of the movement is exposed.. Ithink it's early 60's vintage as there are no identifying numbers on the dial it came from. The movement runs, but doesn't keep good time, so I'm hoping to get it apart so I can clean it and oil it and see if it does better.

Thoughts?

The best way to try and identify a movement is from the features on the dial side.

However I've done a quick bit of research for you and noted that Timex often used Durowe (Deutsche Uhrenrohwerke) movements in their watches.

Could this be something like a Durowe 71 (or derivative)?

I somehow missed notifications that you two had responded to this. Thanks so much! I think I've figured out how to get the dial off, and once I get my hands on .7mm screw driver I'll put up some pics of the dial side of the movement.
