An interesting piece I found

I found this that someone had... Not sure but I just love it. It needs a new crystal because the one it has keeps falling out and I'm guessing an hour hand because they're isn't any. Is there a seconds hand that would go on it? It's really cool, uses a Dollar pocket watch movement with pin pallet but runs just fine. In the back it looks like someone tried to do something with it but I'm not sure. I wanna restore it but can't find any information on it. Any one know anything?469c05e1ee0da57af6673034afd23a28.jpg28a03f09913fc52039cf4c0433715b1a.jpg7e1a01978f3f1c41446cc2e3f1f55abd.jpg600a96afcd0505067dfb3bdc8ac25320.jpg

It is certainly unique.

It looks like the canon pinion is capped. If so, it wouldn’t have had a running seconds hand. Maybe a sub seconds hand but the dial doesn’t seem to show one.

Id be googling like mad with all the info on the box and see what I find.

Another tjought: it may be a tidal clock. I don’t know the particulars but those run on a different base- not base 12 for the day, but less than 12 for the tidal frequencies.

No, it's a regular pocket watch. Made by Ingraham, it's for sailing. The dial denotes how's many bells for the time and does the different watches eg. First watch, mid watch, etc... Yeah it didn't look like a seconds hand would be on it, but there's definitely an hour hand I just don't know what size or type. It's a very cool pocket watch though.
