Happens to me in FreeCAD all the time.

New to freeCAD, I told myself that is just and righteous because the circle can be a sector only, below 180 deg there would be no diameter to speak of.

My 7/16-40 tap arrived. With the aid of some Tap Magic fluid, it removed what looked to me like a lot of metal for just chasing the threads, and now they barely thread on with slight resistance.

Maybe they were originally under-tapped and installed red hot for that old country thread locking? They didn't seem to be all that hard to remove though.

I will probably use a very mild thread locker when i do my final assembly.

Occurred to me that all of the threads on this have been 40tpi.

Do you know the size of the drawbar? Thread size, or what collets That would work with this lathe? Thanks

Does anyone know what collets would work in this lathe and what size the drawbar and threads would be? Thanks

If it’s 8mm then the thread is probably 275 X 40 but that’s only my guess.
