Hi everyone, This was a rare one for me. I repaired and serviced a Gold Janex wrist watch today for my next door neighbour. I modified a new stem and fitted it with a new Crown. On the Timegrapher it was all over the place looking like a faulty pallet stone. I had examined the pallett in the cleaning operation and it looked OK. The fault turned out to be a loose Ruby pin on the balance. I checked it was upright and with a small sewing needle and a touch of super glue  I fixed it firmly. Not  Shellac and a proper watchmakers job I know, however I am not a watchmaker just a Jobber Fixer. The Beat error is 0.3mSec, the balance Amplitude is 270 deg and timekeeping Average in 3 positions + 16 Secs/day. We will see how long it lasts. A long time I reckon. Comments are welcomed. Thank you, Mike.
