Hello first post here. Recently acquired a Benrus Citation with and ESA 9154. Tried to replace the battery, but its still not working. I am looking for some advice on how to repair this watch or send it to someone for repair? I have a spare movement and coil on the way. The only thing I know so far, is the movement has to come out of the front. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Neat looking electronic watch. I serviced the earlier ESA 9150 recently. It took some time, but was doable with the technical guide from ESA for the model. I have worked on many pocket watches, and now maybe 25 wrist-watches, so I do have some experience. There are some tricky moves (tension-springs under bridge) you've got to do on these watches, so one must be careful, precise, and have nice tools. I can't remember where that ESA 9150 manual is, but it's out there for free somewhere. Maybe the 9154 is a well?  They do need the occasional service, so providing it hasn't had a battery badly salt and mess things up, you've got a good shot at getting it running. Good luck.

      Yes, it looks like GT Revue 30. Doctor, You can not replace escape wheel by the dimensions You listed. One needs to know much more things like number of leaves of the pinion and it's diameter, the position in high of the table and the pinion, the hight between the pivots, the exact pivots diameter... And then, even if suitable wheel is found, one will need to know how to adjust the pallets position correctly. Restoring antique movements is something different than replacing parts. In older movements parts are not interchangeable, this means spare parts do not exist. Here the case is different, but still escapement adjustment will be needed if a wheel from a donor is found. So may be it will be easier to restore the donor for You...Restoring antique movements usually means making of the parts needed and this requires knowlage and working on lathes skill. In this case repivoting of the wheel is the natural solution, but there is a long way that one must walk untill getting ready for such work.

      I was looking at Essence of Renata, a chemical used a lot for cleaning hairsprings: "Specially prepared solution for degreasing watch and instrument components. Indispensable for degreasing hairsprings."
