Service-member's Homage Rolex from Iraq

Hello all, I have a customer that dropped off his Homage Rolex Daytona for service. He got the watch in Iraq in 2003 and it means a lot to him. The movement was worked on by someone else and they could not get it back together so I have it in parts. There are no identifying marks on the movement and the main spring is severely damaged. I tried to use a DG 3836 but the center hole to sub dial hole is 0.5mm too large for the dial I have and the dial feet are in the wrong position. I need to identify a replacement that will fit the dial. I would prefer to not have to cut off the dial feet and adhere it to a replacement movement. I have been searching for days and now I ask for some help. Here are the particulars:

Chinese Automatic Ligne 12 (27.07mm) wide. Dial feet at about 1:30 and 7:30. The dial is Date at 3, 24 Hour at 6, Day at 9. The distance from the center of the cannon pinion to the center of the sub dial hole is 6.5mm.

I appreciate any help that can be offered. Normally I would not take on a job like this but I want to see if I can hep out this combat veteran.

The movement is most likely the 4030 which was manufactured by Zenith. Getting authentic parts is going to be very difficult. Fitting anything that is not genuine Rolex will greatly devalue the watch. There are genuine dials to be found on eBay and the movement parts apart from the hairspring should be OK.

Could you post good pictures of the mov.t only, front and back? Just put the main parts back in place for the pic. However, if it was me I would go for fitting the mov.t that you have purchased already. Quality wasn't there before anyway, and at least will have a know module that can be worked on again in the future.

Nitpick: "replica" is the euphemism normally used to describe these watches. Homage are instead honest, regular watches with their own label.

Well, what the OP is telling us here is that this is not a genuine watch, but a Chinese reproduction.

Very nitpick: “counterfeit “ unless every detail, every detail has been replicated. Then it’s a “replica”. [emoji3]

It's a fake, haha, hate that word and prefer Rep or replica, I work on a few and believe me I don't think I will succumb to paying for a gen after seeing what some of these high end reps are like, anyway, if its a knock off from Iraq it's probably the same quality as the ones from Afghan, as has been said post a few pic and im sure we will be and be to point you in the correct direction for the correct chinese movement to to fitted mate.
