Hello everyone.

My name is Neil and I have been interested in timepiece mechanisms for many years. I have now decided to delve into my own repairs.

I am a mechanical engineer with a passion for designing and building machinery, model building, and metalwork. I also love working on, modifying, and restoring automobiles. Having designed one of the largest robotic mechanisms in existence (75 tons), it's time to try may hand at the other end of the scale spectrum :) .

I'm happy to be here! I'll be posting a question in the help and advice section soon.

Cheers,

Neil

Welcome Neil. I was an engineer as well. (electronic). Yet I have two Omega Watches to fix for a friend !!!!  1022 Movements, one with water ingress around the keyless parts etc: A pro watch repairer said it is BER so we will see. The other is a clean and regulate. Well, good wishes to you and there is lots of very talented help on this site. Regards, Mike.
