The watch you have is not french as such it may have been a brand name used in France but was manufactured by a company called Fabrique d'horlogerie Dux SA/ N.Praz S.A they seem to have been first registered as a company in 1943, They sold watches under various brand names and where not movement manufactures in there own right instead buying movements in and marketing watches, the most common would be Monvis and Winner watches, looking at the Mikrolisk web site they seem to have had around 40 brand names registered to them.
