Missing click spring - but which kind?

Had a good look around to see if the part was available anywhere, but no joy and this calibre even pre-dates the AS equivalent parts list on Cousins.
It looks from your pic that the guitar string may be too thick. Does the click have a step on the bottom to accommodate the spring? You may need to measure this to see how thick the spring can be. Maybe you need to buy some extra light guitar strings!

That's 0.09" for anyone who wondered (or 0.229mm) which is not that much thinner than a "10" which would be 0.254mm...
I think you need to track down an 8 if possible!

The clicker is absolutely flat. A real puzzle that. Whilst this string/spring is probably, as noted, too thick, it may be that a thinner version which doesn't exceed the thickness of the unthreaded collar is what's required. I'll have to do some measuring. Or buy a pack of assorted - which I should probably have done some time ago.
