Hunter crystal size?

I ordered this one awhile back and while the circumference seems ok (could be slightly larger maybe), it definitely is not tall enough. When I set it in place and turn the hands, you can hear a slight scraping. What size should I be looking for to gain a little more clearance?

in the old days, the hunting case crystal was low so that you could a photo of you sweet heart in there.  vinn

My issue is figuring out exactly what I'm looking at in the sizes. I think the top number is the ligne, bottom number is height, but not sure what the 7 3/4 is.

These old P/W glasses had their own type of measuring it depended on the manufacture. You would think it would be size, depth and thickness but in many cases, it is not.  

You need to measure from 12 to 6 or 9 to 3 for the size, the height of the minute hand and the depth of the outer cover case in order for the cover to close.  Measure it in mm

You warm the bezel under a 60w light bulb that expands the bezel enough for you to lightly press the glass in.

yes, do plastic the same.  heat from palm of hand works sometimes.    good show.
